Fun Facts about Camp Hoover ...

  • Camp Hoover is located on a 28-acre rustic woodland bordering Hoover Reservoir. Camp Hoover boasts beautiful woods, a boat dock, a high ropes course, a swimming pool, a bathhouse, a pavilion, a basketball court, bike trails, athletic fields, an archery range and an art area.
  • Adventure-based programming with an emphasis on Jewish values
  • Extended fun with a unit overnight and two all camp overnights for every camper
  • The chance to participate in TAG initiatives created by the Mandel Center for Jewish Education. TAG is an acronym for Torah (learning and living), Avodah (service and spirituality) and Gemilut Chassadim (acts of loving kindness). TAG initiatives add Jewish richness, beauty, quality and meaning to our camps through Jewish experiences and education.
  • Two different All American trips to Cleveland  and Cincinnati for 5th-8th graders.  The Cleveland option features an overnight at Camp Wise and a trip to Cedar Point.  The Cincinnati option features a Reds game and a trip to Kings Island. (Three trips total - two to Cleveland, one to Cincinnati - dates TBD)
  • A 2-night, 3-day White Water Rafting Camping trip down West Virginia's New River and a trip to Hocking Hills to fly on their canopy tour zip line for 7th and 8th graders (dates TBD)
  • New for 2010 are trips to Zoombezi Bay for 5th-8th graders and a trip to a Clippers Game for the whole camp!
  • Free transportation to and from camp.
