Theater Camp presents Alice in Wonderland

June 28 - July 16, 2010

For campers entering 1st-9th grade

Join us for another great summer in 2010!

Back by popular demand, the JCC summer camps will offer a theater camp, held each afternoon for three weeks where campers will put on a production of Alice in Wonderland.! Campers entering 1-9th grades are invited to participate and there will be something for everyone!

Whether your camper is interested in acting, singing, dancing, or even set design, lighting, and other behind the scenes aspects to theater, we have it all! Campers will also learn the ins and outs of theater and improve their acting skills through various workshops that will take place throughout the three week period.

Theater camp will culminate with two performances for all other campers, as well as family and community members. Don't miss out on this exciting experience!

Dates

Theater Camp will take place from June 28-July 16. It is mandatory that all campers attend all three weeks of camp unless a legitimate excuse is provided ahead of time (such as the camper will be away at overnight camp or will be on family vacation). Please contact Children, Youth, and Camping Director Naomi Lamb, for more information or clarification on theater camp dates and expectations.

Auditions

Auditions will be held before camp begins on Thursday, June 10th in the evening, time TBD. Auditions are MANDATORY and will allow the show's director to get campers parts assigned prior to camp and allow them to begin learning their lines ahead of time. Additionally, should there be a need for call-backs, this early audition will allow for those to occur. Should you not be able to attend auditions on 6/10, please let Naomi Lamb know and she will help you and your camper(s) to make alternate arrangements.

Performances

Performances will take place on the following dates in the JCC theater:

Friday, July 16 at 11:00 am for JCC Summer Camps ONLY!
Sunday, July 18th at 11:00 am
Sunday, July 18th at 4:00 pm
